A Drop Today, A Future Tomorrow

Project Rain water Harvesting

Groundwater Revival, School by School

Pune is not a water scarce city.  The average rainfall is 700 / 750mm annually.  However, due to rapid expansion in the city, the natural aquifers are depleting at an alarming rate.

Our mission is to replenish the aquifers through rain water harvesting through borewells.  We first identify Municipal schools with existing borewells. Then install rainwater harvesting systems connecting to the borewells. Total terrace area of 11 schools, along with 12 borewells, covering 1,05,700 sq. ft., has significantly contributed to groundwater recharge.

It is only a drop in the ocean at the moment, but our aim is to replenish the ground water so that it benefits future generations.
