Committed to make a difference

A group of well read, informed women thought of this unique concept of women getting together to bond and grow. Spectrum was born! The journey, the excitement, the adrenalin rush began with 60 women who committed themselves to learning. The Logo with a woman’s face in a prism and a tag line of “Women’s Window To The World” was most appropriate as it highlighted the opportunity for women to learn new things – broaden their horizons- come out of their comfort zones and THINK beyond. This was news! Newspapers were noting the book readings, the panel discussions and the VIP speakers coming to address Spectrum Members.

Twenty years after inception in the year 2013 a sister concern Spectrum Ahead arrived to incorporate, embrace and most importantly remain meaningful with the changing times. The window gave way to the globe, signalling that we had moved to explore new arenas of global opportunities for self-growth. The parent Spectrum NGO in the meantime also moved in a very concerted manner towards contributing to society.  As more committed members joined the working teams of NGO, the projects became bigger and more meaningful increasing our outreach multi-fold.
