My growing up years were spent in an all girls school….. A room full of women
Then came hostel life …. A room full of women
Later I joined fab India …….. A room full of women
Down the line married with 2 kids, for my company I had a room full of women conniving plots to hurt their own tribe on television and on the other hand an invitation to join a kitty group, again A room Full….
Choosing the former, it did good to 2 people one being Ekta Kapoor, who became K(ash) , and the other was me ensuring earth stays in its orbit with my weight gain.
My looking glass at women had only one colour in the kalaidescope ……. Gossip, conniving and mean. Without much realisation i too became less appreciative of people and led life like a horse with blinders.
BUT then the big 40 happened overnight the axis turned upside down. An angel in my life, A woman ….. Swapna introduced me to Spectrum- A Ladies Study Group ……my reaction, You guessed it … A room full of women!! Slowly over years of meeting her countless number of times, in between our conversations Spectrum did pop up. I got intrigued the more I heard.
The lockdown opened doors to virtual medium and so did Spectrum opened its doors for me . yes, A room full of women … but they changed my life FOREVER. It’s never too late to start; knowledge is wealth, birds of the same feather flock together … these proverbs we have heard since time immemorial . but joining Spectrum I have understood the true meaning of it. Humanity and humility is the religion of this group.
A room full of women ….. Yes, I am a part of it!!
