2017…Spectrum completed 25 glorious years…A ladies study group that began with 60-70 women reached a staggering 350 and counting…Oh yes with a waiting list of women eager to join…
The landmark year was celebrated in true Spectrum style with an Ambulance donated to the Jehangir Heart Hospital and programmes through the year that had the fragrance of the years gone by!!
The “Silver members” were acknowledged and memories shared with the new members. A token in the form of a Spectrum diary with all the 25 themes was published. A Car Rally across the city was the highlight of the year. A Masterchef style Cookery contest, Spectrum picnic, Creative Workshops on Cinema, Puppetry, Mask making received a great response from members.
The second major event was SwanLake ..the all time grand and eternal Opera at the NCPA Mumbai..Over 200 members went to Mumbai in buses and cars and enjoyed the Opera.. and yes we were called on stage to meet the cast after the show..What an honour that was..
The Silver Jubilee year was truly memorable …Only because of the spirit of Spectrum…The soul of Spectrum is it’s genuineness, the kindred feeling that it generates amongst the women it embraces…Where every member grows in stature to emerge as a woman to reckon with!!!
